I do a bit of writing from time to time, keep it to myself mostly.

But why?

So lets see yours!

I wrote this tonight, as a message to someone I love desperately, miss:

We parted,

Then I found myself in a wood,

With the damp bluebells,

The trees looked down upon my plight,

Whilst seemingly closing their great trunks in your wake.

The bluebells are wilted & gone now,

The light here has turned green,

Under the shooting leaves of this years abundance,

With little to show come the autumn,

But for the pride of a freshly dropped crispy gold blanket.

I can close my eyes now,

Only to listen, & smell.

I can describe in abstract my position,

Whilst waiting in hope for you to walk towards me, through the trees.

Just as the last of the squirrels looks round & then hibernates. X

Read this at the wedding; been going along 10+ yrs now so it worked i suppose

Floundering, blue, on your shore I was tossed.

Laundered, all new, soul no longer lost.

Sweet Wave! Whence came thy power, direction,

To cast me straight to this dear heart’s affection?

Wandering through the realm I have won,

Wondering who could earn such a sun-

Bathed world of bright joy; radiant bliss.

Could I be that boy? Tell me with kiss.

Pondering you with Renaissance eyes,

Loving the view, you’re just the right size

To fit in my life, my love and my heart.

I am not impatient, but when can we start?

*****************************************

Then here's some prose; an ode to a magnolia. More lusty than the wedding poem; no preachers around.

Her rounded form was waving in the wind, dazzling me into submission.

Her deep green, lustrous sheen pulled me helplessly toward

her. I was lost in a tremulous trance. I had to experience oneness

with this being, so I ardently ascended. Her long, spreading limbs

enveloped me in their embrace as I thrust my way into her canopy.

Through the layers of leathery emerald verdure, I glimpsed the

Carolina blue sky.

As I slithered

farther out on her limbs,

the delicious fragrance of the

nectar glistening on her pure

white flowers wafted up my

nostrils and intoxicated my

mind. I was hers—totally,

completely, and not at all

discreetly.
