I reckon best is would be to try and quarter that as you'll get some nice stable pieces.

 

 

Have you got a mini mill? Or you could break down into quarters free hand then use the alaskan that would work.

 

 

You'd have to keep rolling the quarters backwards and forwards but worth in on a good size log.

Nice one Rob I subscribe to you on youtube and had seen that film Im pretty sure i liked it too!

I had forgotten tho and hadn't even considered it, cheers I will give it some thought.

 

Hmmm mini mill its very tempting.....

 

Part 2 is good as well Rob, and that cedar was a monster loved that.

Se7 I will defo have some bits its green and only just been felled theres plenty on top on it as well. what do u want 2's x 6"x6"? I cant get to it just now I have stashed it away probably wont get back there for a month of so.:001_smile:

how about some 4 1/2" and 5" to go with my 6"....

 

 

 

 

by the way you will need to mill them 1/4" bigger as the finnished sizes for my skittles is 4 1/2", 5" and 6" so need the extra to account for shrinkage...

 

if the 6" could come from near the edge of the tree that would be great as it is much more stable and genraly splits less.

Copford SM I think theres one in Amersham I kinda just want to do it if u know what i mean.
