Oak logs

Hi, got these oak logs which are approximately 20ft in length the large one at the back of the picture is approximately 3ft in diameter and straight. The tree was felled this weekend. If someone is interested in buying these for milling uses then give me a call Jordan - 07792108042. I will post more pictures and exact dimensions if there is any interest. To be honest I have no idea what their worth or whether their better for firewood uses. Bit of advice from someone that knows will be appreciated!

Thanks

Thanks for posting - the smaller one is firewood - but the bigger one - looks soft at the base but sometimes that softness does not go far and leads onto brown oak...

You need to take a few rings off that and see how far it goes up and into tree - could well then be worth milling.

till its split open theres no way to determine how far the rot has intruded, and as for the small one being to small, rubish, Ive hab some beautifull timber out of so called rubish, thats the whole point of having your own mill
