hi all, on behalf of a friend, he has been offred a 3 day a week job as a groundy on books, he has just finnished college about 2 weeks ago, with some experience.

He is 20 but has been offred a minimum wage, plus training, kit, week sick and holliday pay and couple of other benifits.he already had cs30 and 31.

I thought it was ok, as ive been in the industry for about a year and get 60 a day.

What do other think of this offer

I started on £50 a day straight out of college - that was self employed and i had to buy my own ppe.

If I was him at that stage i would take it before someone else does! He's young and has alot of years ahead of him to build up to making top $$.

Too many people coming into the industry are expecting top dollar from day one.

Had few young lads come looking for work, no skills, no track record, no transport.

All fully expecting to earn £400/ £500 per week !!!!!

It was ever thus.....:laugh1:

Gave one new guy an 026 (it was a few years back) to sned a top with, his reply "I am not familiar with this model", still wanted top wage though.
