A friend borrowed my chipper for a few hours over the weekend...long story short he's cracked a fin off the back of the flywheel and done a blade in. He's sorting parts out etc, but can I just replace the fin's without changing bearings or Is this a must? The have checked the shaft etc and there's no play in it, but the guy at the at the parts shop said it's a must do to rebalance it???

Any help appreciated guys!!

I'd do the bearings whilst you have it apart. At least you know they'll be ok for longer

Yep ditto. No point going that deep into a machine and not changing them.
