Gray I bought 2 of these RB44 trucks a few years ago and they are festering in the corner of the yard , they are civvy ones with twin wheel rear axles. After seeing yours I think I will stick one of them on the road , what I need to know is what they weigh empty. The plate just states the gvw as 7.5ton and 11ton train weight so I would like to know whats left for load.

Bob, I'm in the market for one at the moment if you've got one you want rid of?

Not sure with yours as mine is a 5.2gvw /7.5gtw. You might have one of the rarer 1's.

Is it a Rb44 4x4 or a dodge50 some picks might help

I think mine was about 3.2 empty but added a few bits since then so about due a re weigh

Not sure then, guess you will have too stick 1 on a weigh bridge.

Get a few picks of the whole trucks as sounds interesting. Were they going cheep for you too get two of them or just a whim purchase?

I will get some snaps of them. Both have nasty cabs which is why they are pushed to the back of the yard but last week just by chance a complete rust free rb44 cab turned up on ebay so I bought it. As the cabs only held on with a few bolts I will let the fitter loose on it for a few days and rig up the tipper body. One was a gulley sucker and the other had some weird recovery contraption on the back , both have pto hydraulics, one has a massive hydraulic winch on the front and the other has a pto flange on the transfer box that ran the gulley sucker. I will be well chuffed if that comes in at the 3.5 ton mark, that will give it a decent payload.
