all you multi ticketed wood cutters and groundies out there are all forgetting one vital point in all these proposed re-certifications and new training proposalls, not ONE of your tickets is a legally required document. all you require is insurancwe and a letter stating you are safe and competent in what you are doing, all the certificates are issued by "training" companies with only one thing on there mind..... the generation of CASH, even your H&S documents state they are only an advisory document.

I think you will find it's not quite as simple as that

If nobody goes on the re-assessments, thus nobody buys into the system, the system collapses. Ranting and raving, waving banners and placards in faces gets you nowhere, you are then just an inconvenience for a day. But saying this, we (as an industry of "professionals") seek endless qualifications to set us apart from those without, to show we are better than they. Now we dont want re-assessments because it will cost a bob or two. :001_rolleyes: Wanting cake and eating it comes to mind.

So why are you against re-assessment Tony? Is it just the costs, or something else? Your bosses company picks up the tab for the tests, he covers this by charging appropriately while you are out on site, hence why we have to pass it onto the clients.

Actually you're just plain worng, my insurance company (trust) required proof of my NPTC tickets. I suppose i could get someone to write me a letter saying "He's right good with chainsaws and stuff" Why didn't i think of that before forking out all the cash i have...:confused1:
