Hi there, i'm selling something and someone has offered to pay online.

I don't want to use paypal due to fee's!

Was going to say bank transfer.

Is this a safe option? the guy is 120 miles away, and his mates going to collect from me and then sort out getting to him....

So i'm asking is bank transfer safe? can be sent to me... then can't be retracted later and i'm out of brass and item?

Cheers :blushing:

I actually asked in the bank last week about this and Bacs transfers can reversed only on the day they are made so if you wait a day you will be safe. They can only put money into your account and not take it out. For big invoices myself all my business customers pay me by Bacs. You can even do a same day transfer. Whilst cash is good how do you know you aren't getting dodgy money?

Bank wire transfer are fine, however my bank does charge my account a fee for the transaction going both ways. Remember the bank is in business to earn a profit for the bank and share holders. I would be very surprised if you ate not charged a transaction fee for this service.
