in my opinion you should just get another saw sent up. i find that you get slow pick up with anything but a 12" bar.

 

Sounds like you haven't use one of my modified ones, the latest one is out in Sweden, just landed and has a "little extra" tweak I have done on top of the usual.

 

Should make a 16" work just fine:thumbup:

I was going to say sounds like its a "standard" topper. :lol:

 

I would just use a bigger saw. A tweaked topper would easily run a 16, but depends on the every use of the saw. If you don't want to use a bigger bar all the time is it worth tweaking. A bigger bar is usefull sometimes but not all the time.

 

But saying that a small bar on a faster more powerfull saw will cut quicker and mean a cleaner job.
