MS200T - Aspen running problems!

Aspen is better, huh??

 

Saw is 2010 model, done very little work for it's age! But ran on 2-stroke mix in UK for 2-3 years! On the contract were on in Sweden we HAVE to use Aspen! I reluctantly started using the stuff. Ran like crap immediately! Loss of power, delay between throttle and revs picking up, erratic idling, ect.....

 

After 1 week, the fuel lines began leaking so badly the saw was unusable. I replaced them, and stripped the carb and fitted the diagram and other parts in the carb kit i purchased. The saw then ran adequately well for 3 weeks! Now it's back to it's old tricks!! New carb needed? Or is there any other problems i could be missing?

 

I also fitted the carb kit to 2 other guys saws, with no improvement whatsoever!!! What is the problem?? Any help appreciated!!

garden kit or spud will be along shortly and some times you do need to ajust the carb

How long had it been sitting before you Switched to Aspen?

It wasn't really sitting for long! But only used a couple of times a month i think! I bought it off a mate - and it ran sweet as a nut when i tested it out in UK! Very powerful and responsive! I wish it would run like that over here!!

Richen L screw 1/8, then adjust LA screw until it idles correctly, if it still misbehaves, it's the pump piston in the carb, there's a little rubber o-ring on the piston

Gardenkit aka aspen man. Will point you in the right direction on this one. The carb may need tweaking for proper running.

I don't think it's the tuning of the carb, but i may be wrong!!

 

If it's this rubber ring in the carb, is this easy to replace? I think i know where you mean..... there is a screw inside the carb i saw, does that release the piston? Is it all gonna spring apart and the bits fly across the room? Or is it as simple to replace as the bits in the carb kit?

Just a simple one from me really. But.

 

I s the carb boot ok? And is the impulse line ok.

 

Only ask as you said the fuel lines had cracked, thinking maybe the boot may have gone aswell as or instead the impulse line.
