I used to go through a pair of dickies boots every 3-4 months usually toe caps moving or soles falling apart so I decided to spend a bit more and got a pair of Lowa boots from straus direct online they lasted just over 3 yrs of pretty much every day wear (farm work) and were still 100% water proof until the soles wore out and split but I'd deffinately have another pair if I didn't need chainsaw protection

Mate you want lowa's or altberg boots there not cheap but hand made and will last. Best two makes of boots in my book. Have a pair of both on the go and my lowa s get hammered and are still waterproof and in good shape. Only my opinion though :)

Yep had a pair of winter boots off Strauss the other year, lasted pretty well to be honest ones still fine but the other has split through the side so are resigned to dry work at the minute, think I might have a look what they've got I know Strauss stuffs not the cheapest but its decent quality :thumbup1:

got a pair of the square toed bucklers. Comfy straight from the box, only problem i have is that the ankle is a bit low for what i do now so have just ordered a pair of Haix x21's. Still use my bucklers in the garden at home if strimming or digging.
