Just got a 3l turbo canter a few weeks back. Seems to be a good solid truck that carry's the weight well, BUT it is awfull on fuel, much worse than my 2.5l turbo transit. I reckon I get about 20 miles to the gallon.

I've driven one for years. Lumpy gearbox, tiny cab, fragile plastic fittings and worst of all the mirrors make it wider than a eurocargo. No matter who drives one, the mirrors get smashed. Ok if you dont drive down country roads where dead elm trees wait for Canter mirrors.

SOmone I knew had one.

Ditto the mpg think it got around 15mpg.

I allways thought there was loads of room in the cab (crewcab) both front and back.

Was just like driving a people carrier and not a truck.

Price of parts was a bit expensive iirc.

Problems he had were a dodgy gearbox (repaired or replaced twice) and engine overheating due to a build up of crap between rad and intercooler.

I liked it though, nice looking trucks.
