Anyone ever tried and had good results? ie no issues with spilt fuel taking paint off etc

 

Debating giving it a go on the 044 as starting to look rather well used now. :001_rolleyes:

Wasn't sure what paint to use for the best results.

I sanded the gloss of the original plastics then used a couple coats of plastic primer, some metallic blue enamel paint, 2 coats of that then a good coating of petrol resistant lacquer. Gives a good result. Corners wear off eventually but it takes a fair bit of beating to chip it or knock it off.

Agreed, you're on another thread going on about no rest on Sunday and here you are proposing to do something work related which serves no purpose!

Would certainly make each item more distinctive if nicked. It's the way forward me thinks. Puce striped Huskys and fluorescent starred Stihls.
