Field maple burns well , so does Japanese maple . Burnt the both . Split and season and keep it aired but dry . Don't know what it weighs . If your down on the bump stops of the rear axle you got a bit too much in !

Both require splitting now to get the mositure out. Oak generally wants 2 years to season, when you burn the Oak you will find in a multifuel stove that it helps to put a bit of primary air under the grate as well as full secondary air.

Weight wise probably a tonne and a half- 2 tonnes. I think I would just about get it all on one IFW 8 x 5 trailer load.

Do you find that makes much difference? Common wisdom is that most water is lost through the end grain (although clearly some is lost through the long grain otherwise end-sealed timber would never dry). I like to stack firewood "round" as the splitting gives a quick visual estimate of how it's drying.

This is what I do cos I got no choice . All my wood is stacked in lengths ( bark side up , like a stack of cord ) in the open . It gets rained on . I split what I can and fill my log stores . Split wood will dry / season quicker than un processed wood but only if you can keep it dry and aired . What I cant store in this way I leave as log lengths to minimize water up take . It works for me but it could be more efficient if I had more storage . does this make sense ?
