Another for avoiding the no win no fee brigade, they ran a mate of mine ragged and he had no end of trouble getting out once he had signed up.

I agree,stay clear of them,they are out for themselves.:001_smile:

I struggle to understand what the head of a company turning over 120k per year is doing standing in the middle of a road manualy picking up timber while subbing for what clearly is a cowboy?

Is no one else even slightly Suspicious?

Jonnyvine, im not the the head of a company who sends lads out to shitty jobs and in bad weather then gets annoyed whens its not done on time, always try to lead by example, plus i would always normally be in the tree!

id struggle to see how a company who was out at work every day was nt making over 120k a year,

Dropping a tree across a national speed limit road without proper road control, regardless of it was low volume or not, sounds plain daft.

I do feel sorry for you with the lost earnings etc but, even as a subby, surely you should have your own insurance to cover these things regardless? Maybe I missed something or am being over simplistic but if you put yourself in that situation in the first place knowing it's dodgy at best.....

I'd leave the whole lot with a lawyer and let them figure out if you have the rights to a claim etc.

"Principal contractors are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of everyone on site".

Few realise this, but even the site owners etc are the main contractors responsibility when it comes to H&S.
