Thanks all, plum is pretty stunning I think - you get pinks and greens in there. The bedroom floor will be elm, finished with as light a sealing colour as I can manage, so the plum should compliment it.

The wheels are really useful for moving medium sized logs around and have done some fairly heavy stuff. This got extracted on them:

It's a short axle on a pair of trailer wheels, with a bit of U-channel welded on as a plate. If I did it again I would make the axle a bit longer and eventually it will get modded to stop the U-channel from rolling upside down (see pic), and to give it a handle for pushing it around unloaded. I'm also thinking about some form of mudguard arrangement to stop logs from twisting and fouling the wheels.

I'll upload a picture of the similar trolley that I use when I remember to take one. It may inspire.you.

Cherry josh ?? Make sure you seal the ends if it is ... I was gutted when I looked through a stack I had milled and pegged up a few months back this week ,most of it was split! Didn't think that would happen as it had been on a pile for two years so if its green it will be far worse.

I installed a bench I made at the Village Hall today. see attached vid.

Made from Oak felled on a nearby estate, would have gone for firewood, I hope this is a better use! Cheers, Pup. :001_cool:

That is very clever, I like it a lot :thumbup1:

Do you have any side-on pictures from earlier in the construction which show how the back legs are done?

That's some really nice colour for ash. Doesn't seem to have lost much from the trimming up (and saved your chain a bit :001_smile:)
