Can anyone tell me if a knapsack sprayer will handle the job?

I tried it years ago with creosote.worked for a while but soon blocked the jet, maybe cuprinol is thinner?

Is cuprinol water based, if it is it should be ok if you run loads of warm water through after, if its oil based it will probably ruin it.

Way to tell is see if the instructions tell you to wash the brush in water or turps

It should, I used a 5l spray pot from the pound land (type) shop to do a couple of fence panels.

Don't underestimate the overspray, the neighbours white plastic patio furniture wont look good in coloured spots

It would probably handle the sprayable cuprinol which is slightly thinner. I've got one of the cuprinol sprayers and it's basically a wee pesticide sprayer. I would be interested to here if it worked. The knapsack sprayer will also allow you to try different spray patterns. I would recommend only using it on panels as you will waste alot on other fencing. (IMO) Hope it's not a big 18L knapsack as it will kill your back.

Sprayers with plastic nozzles seem to work better than brass ones for some reason, but in my book sadolin goes further and lasts a lot longer ,unless its wood preserver or wood worm spray
