Vp hire station Trafford park hire saws to network rail round the north. This could be a rail thing an not available to other companies/joe public.

 

Why would you want to restrict a saw its like the smell of napalm in the morning👍

when your taking wood you dont have permission to take and there are houses near by and its 4am

 

Or you could locate your local firewood supplier and ring him, at 7.30 on a sunday morning:001_tt2:, and buy some instead.:thumbup1:

I rely thought you would of gotten it by now

DEAD WOOD OFF THE F.C.

There dose that make sense now?

 

Another idea about the chainsaw is

Dose anyone have an old chainsaw spare that they dont need that I could have for exchange of my Labour

If its dead wood on the floor on OPEN ACCESS forestry ground just drag it out, although I would guess its a fallen tree if you're wanting to chop it up

This happens quite a bit round us, it's amazing how much "dead wood" that seems to conveniently fall in perfect lengths, and thoughtfully stacks itself by the side of the track for easy collection :thumbdown:

 

Just because it's fallen doesn't mean it's going to waste - it might be brought by someone, or left for habitat. Contact the FC and ask to buy a dead tree off them, then you won't have to worry about noise if it's all legit.
