Waste of time IMHO. Shredder blade all the way. Don't forget the big shredder guard- it's not safe to mulch brambles and saplings 'top down' with a line guard, it'll be chucking big chunks back at your legs and nutsack.

Spent a few days on it. The odd bit flies around but never had much of an issue. Just man up and get on. . Chainsaw pants help too!

mulch blade , but mind your knackers lol,as others have said,wear your chainsaw strides or some wax leggings etc

Yeah I use a chainsaw for mashing down brambles, when I don't have my brushcutter.

It is far more efficent using a decent sized brushcutter stihl fs400 of bigger with the oregon bramble head.

I have clearedlaerge plots down to mulch in no time at all. I can get through 1-2 inch trees and scrub with the bramble blade and bigger with the tri blade.

I've always used a blade on a strimmer, but taken off the guard (use good eye protection) Start at the top and work down in sweeps till you reach the ground.

Those mulching blades are the bomb, next best thing to napalm!!!!!

yep mulching blade and a big patch of knarley bramble along with my mp3 ear defenders and iam as happy as a pig in poo!

For God's sake get the mulching guard. It's completely different to the line guard.
