You are correct Simon. Last I heard the vote on this matter has been postpone. The President of Cypress is all in favor of this move,however it is reported that the Finance Minister is not:thumbdown:. Have also heard that Italy is talking about something along these lines as well:sneaky2:

They are keeping all the banks closed until thursday, while they decide what they are doing.

 

Imagine if you had sold your house or business and had banked several £100K, before reinvesting in you new home, you are going to loose £1000's, because of bad timing.

has it affected internet banking, think ther worried thers going to be a run to with draw money ,thus making matters worse for the banks

Internet banking has been stopped, as have ATM's, according to the radio.

 

They are holding onto everyones money until they decide whats happening:thumbdown:

Most of the greek bailout money was chinese. Was a bit suspicious that a rather smug looking chinese delegate was being courted in the weeks running up to the leaders of the nations meeting in brussels

 

That is SOOO not true. Most of the Greek bailout money is German.

Just thought it was sus. At the time they were chucking money about. Thought it might have been underwritten by them.

 

Interesting thought. Putin has stated they will not accept money being taken from russian nationals accounts. Hmmm so who's money would that be ;)

 

Thing is if they don't get the bailout money they're skint. If they do they won't get anyone risking investing in their country so no outside money in the future which is what they'll need to recover.

 

Long term prediction.......they go bump anyway and turkey takes the whole island for their own
