Hi,

Is baby oil food safe?

Done another couple, The natural edge one london plane and the other is ash.

Wish the snow would stop so I get out in the garden and sand a few more. Anyone got any pics of their boards?

Nice boards,

Don't know about baby oil but the paraffin oil from the chemist is really cheap. Last bottle I bought was only a £1, think it was 250ml.

Nice boards, here's one of a batch of beech and walnut boards I made. IME baby oil will go rancid on the board, I think the same of olive oil and veg oil too. I stick to tung oil or cheap mineral oil from chemist.

I think she was worried i was going to drink it! You can buy it much chepaer online for horses etc, so may get some more that way.

Loving the boards. Is spalted material ok? I suppose the fungi dies when the wood dries?

that plane looks loverly, green or seasonded i presume.

i milled some Holm oak with a friend on Tuesday, and the figureing was very similar to that plane.

dont forget tung oil, whilst "food safe" may not be to everyones liking, especially for people with nut allergies!!!!
