Anybody heard of the new rules coming in from 1st April 2014 that only woodchip from suppliers off the "Approved Suppliers List" will be eligible for RHI payments.

Some details here

Approved suppliers for RHI installations eNews Current ConFor

Looks like another good con to extract annual fees just so that you can supply your customer with woodchip.

I give up with this country its just going to the dogs

Yes, attended a meeting recently and one of the topics discussed was the new accreditation scheme now HETAS is no more. Apparently any one installing a biomass system that qualifies for RHI will only be able to buy their fuel from a supplier on the approved supplier list to guarantee their RHI payments. It is designed to prove sustainability of the wood used as fuel we were told.

how much more will they extract in stealth tax. woodchip is woodchip and if it has been from a felling then is that not sustainable. whats going to happen to those who take as much woodchip they can get from tree surgeons will they all need to be approved to offload. and pay to have another permit to dump there chip or will there be a loophole for this.

As we sell woodfuel pellets, we are going through the process of registering on the biomass suppliers. It's just a case of supplying info on the RHI applicable products you sell and or produce, along with carbon lifecycles.

It makes sense long term.
