In that case, its a Landy or a hilux 3to4 k and a good entec, all paid for , find the best number 2 you can and pay him as much as you can and look after him, with you knowledge and interpersonal skills you will be fine, stay small , stay under the VAT, don't be tempted to drop your prices if times go quite, there is also very little money to be made on the big jobs at the moment , be chabby chic as it were and sell your self to those who appreciated quality and an in depth knowledge of trees and ecology . :thumbup1:

ive thought about landies but they just cant carry enough chip and still have room for tools, and the turning circle is pants!

hilux too small again, one big reduction and it will be full before the jobs done, same as a landy, I will stay small for a coupke of years but I cant climb forever, will need a gang or two out when im fifty plus, and \i like having crew to look after. I used to treat my lads on birthdays, no warning, off to the pub or somewhere cool for a chillin day:thumbup1:

When i can take on a fulltime groundyim going to make sure he comes with me on all courses and seminars, when i find the right one who wants to be a real eco arb:thumbup1:

The next time I get a big job that has plenty of bigwood veteran action I will put a offer out for all you lads to come in on if only for the experience, nice to see so many lads so keen and well up for it:thumbup1:

Tony definatly consider a canter mate. Can't even feel it with 3 ton of chip on and towing and the turning circles are amazing how reliable they are I don't know as yet and also be careful of the new goal post movements for the new leZ I'm sure your aware anyway!

Good lck

I don't understand low emissions but I would have expected there to be an excemption for older trucks

Dirty exhausts if allowed costs a fortune in congestion charge or something like that. Im just a country boy, avoid the city as much as possible,.
