Silky Saw. Curved or Straight Blade?

I like the zubat 300 but the straights good tbh its a silky.. The both cut wood and both have there pros and cons not much difference in them..

Lots of people get on well with the saw pod i personly dont find it gets on the way alot.. Lanyard tieing its self too it.. Tapped in forks, falling put and riding up your leg.. Not worth the money imo..

Sugoi 360mm. Won't have anything else! I love a fast cutting silky. Might get a gomtaro pro for those diddy reductions. Sugoi doesn't suit cutting 3mm twigs and is a bit scary cutting very close to soft fleshy fingertips!

I was working with Ross Smith today reducing a load of Lime trees in Sandwich, Kent.

 

At one point a cheer went up from Ross and his two groundies... I asked what was up?

 

They were cheering because I was actually using a silky!

I have owned my first £60+ Silky for less than a month.

It is a Gomtaro apple (straight blade) that has been used every day.

 

The blade is blunt and the tip has snapped off. £30 for a new blade

 

I also have a Bahco 21" bowsaw that I can't even remember how old it is. The blade has done 2 seasons, I know that. It isn't blunt, twisted or snapped and if it was a new blade is a tenner.

 

Other than that the Bahco does weigh about the same as a house in comparison.

Cutting edge do nice saws mate thats what i use i love them but i do like silky to so its non bias opinion

Natanoka its semi-curved so its the best of both worlds!

I use a Gomtaro and a Zubat , both straight , great saws that leave a nice tidy finish .
