Silky Saw. Curved or Straight Blade?

If I was to choose just one it would be the natanoko straight... Fast acurate aggressive cutting with a strong blade...

If I could choose two!! A sugoi curved for balls out cutting and the new thin one with the aggressive red blade for acurate target pruning,in regards to the thin blade I have used it for a year and not snapped a blade yet, the saw holster is a work of art and the desighn would be great if they incorporated rollers in to all there hand saw holsters, for target pruning though you will never want to use another hand saw again.. IMO the zubat and gomtaro feel like toys to all of those above mentioned, both have sat in the workshop since buying a natanoko.

Zubat all the way for me, had strait for 10 years then tried the zubat and now hooked on it. It has a small roller on the infeed of the scabbard, so you get a smooth action in/out and it avoids cutting your casing up.

Gomtaro is best for pruning, but is let down by the crappy scabbard that always wears out at the same place and lets the saw fly out.

I use a Zubat 300 these days which is a good all-rounder, with a great scabbard that, as someone has said, takes the Sawpod straps directly.

The Sawpod does catch my line now and then, but the advantages outweigh the disadvantages so much it's a no-brainier for me.

Has anyone used an Ibuki?

It looks like you'd have to strap it across your back like a Ninja!

I use an ibuki and a sugoi, but imo the ibuki is a bit of a beast and the handle is too big for my lil teeny hands :P comparing it to the sugoi id go sugoi everyday... The handle is much better designed wih a hook at the end that u can really pull on for full bore cutting (and tieing back on when u drop it)

And i like the hooked tip of the blade for the final slice through of bark on smaller diameter stuff.

Sugoi curved all the way for me!
