My swivel is a bit stiff too but I have only climbed on it once. I think it will loosen over time.

I was thinking at forst that if I had made the ZZ I wouldnt have bothered with the swivel, I'd rather it just sat centrally and not left or right. Then it occured to me today that its there so that you can clip direct to a bridge, or to a sliding D, and it can swivel into the central location.

 

So I dont think its supposed to be a smooth swivel like, well, a petzl "swivel" its just there to orientate the zz how you want it.

I really wish i had more patience placed my order last night for a zigzag whilst the website its availble i get a messege this morning saying its not in stock but should be with u in no less then 4 weeks ahhh its like being a child a xmas ahhhhh

I would like to see a drop test with a zig zag SRT without any added friction, maybe we can have a whip around for a zz,and see if Dan and ian would do the honours of testing it for us as they have experience of doing it with the rw etc.

On page 8 what is the reason for the prussic above the ascender?

 

I believe it's for a back up in case yon need bring your self down on the zig zag system from the hand ascender. Bit safer
