ok, this looks good, as many know i love my SJ, does it self tend as well as a SJ? thats the most important thing

I will tell you Monday as I'm a big sj fan myself but first impressions say the zig zag will be just as good but also more accurate on limb walks,it's one well engineered piece of kit. I will be using it on my velocity, has anyone tried it srt without a rw just to see what it does?

I would say its not quite as good at self tending as a SJ, but the intuitive feel of it (for anybody whos used vt's) well makes up for the (very) slight reduction in self tending.

 

It bites very well, so there is very little sitback but the downside of this is that its difficult to force feed some rope through when on branch tips with flat rope angles and friction.

 

But for those of you taking pictures of it looking like animals and diggers, get a grip! Its a tool, for work, not a lovetoy!

What diameter rope are you using rupe?
