Hey Silky,

a) you oughta feel guilty, I just got my vt the way I like it, and now...

b) can you explain the benefits over a vt/pulley (hitch climber)? Its a lot of money, I know its shiny but is it really that much better than a £2 bit of hitch cord on a pulley?

Hilarious photos! I'm getting one in a month or so, can't wait! Would also like to know if u can combine with hitch hiker.....

Can't think you could use it with a hitch hiker, the cord is an integral part of the tool.

See no reason why it couldn't be used with a wrench though, apart from maybe Petzl saying it can't, because ISC made it....

Does it work with a ropewrench/hitch hiker though?

edit:"For use only on double ropes" - From Petzl website.

ARW would add even more friction to the system making ascent extremely difficult.

A HH would add even more friction making ascent & descent impossible because the HH is designed to work alone DRT & SRT.

Why do you want to add something to the ZZ? It's designed to work alone?

It can be used with a RW on SRT (I know you asked about DRT).
