Hmm. I guess you've never seen a 'proper' chipper then? Cause that chipper in the video is just a piece of **** vermeer 1400 with a 115 cummins.

And for the record, there are no recorded instances of anyone getting sucked through a chuck and duck chipper. The accidents are because they dont have decent feed control like we do, and a complete lack of any kind of training legislation...

 

Take it you don't like Vermeer then? Single most reliable machine I've ever used...IMO

 

What about this then or is only the drum machine a "chuck and duck"?

Mechnisation, big kit even bigger chippers ,,,,, Vermeer BC2000xl 20" 250hp cat engine, hand fed chippers don't get much better or bigger than this one. Thankfully it has a grab as I wouldn't want to hand feed this machine to much!

The guy I used to work for had a 12" bandit on the front of a mog, It had a winch above the infeed, it was better than any tow along that I've seen working with 170Hp going through it it was a real beast. Quite often 30 foot leylandii went through without any cutting, fills the chipbox quick though.

No you don't lol, the Dutch Dragon has a very small infeed and will only produce the quoted figures on roundwood. Useless on whole trees.

 

The best chipper forwarders have Bruks or Erjo drum chippers fitted. My personal favourite being Erjo.
