I have just refused a load of split ash logs at 40%+mc that was meant to be delivered to me. Now I need to find a load of dry logs so if there is someone who can supply logs could you get in contact. I have already emailed you, John Walker.

Thanks

Crickey Ash when it is fresh felled is not usually that wet.

I have an old yeoman exe, great stove, large firebox etc. I get a good fire going and then will burn anything up to approx 35 mc . (There's a thread on here somewhere where the chap is burning 35% pop and says it burns really well) anyway, I have my chimney swept every year and even though the stove is going constantly, I get about enough soot out to fill half a cornflake bowl. Sweep tells me that's really good,so begs the question about whats the perfect mc......

The problem I have is that I am splitting logs all year round for the winter. Which means I am essentially burning unseasoned logs. I thought if I bought a 'dry load' I could break that cycle and allow the logs I have to season I bit more.

Thanks Penfold for the directions.
