Nothing wrong with legit horse meat , when advertized as horse meat ( like in France ) but when it sold as beef its a con . The other thing to worry about is if its not legit its probably got large quantity's of Bute . This is the horse equivalent of Ibuprofen . If you took the same dosage in bute as you would Ibuprofen you would not get up again . .....

Same here,nothing wrong as long as you know your eating it.when you shop you pick up beef burgers because you fancy them,not for a lucky dip.

A lot of horses will have had "bute" given as a painkiller/anti inflammatory drug over the years. This may cause an adverse reaction if given in high enough doses, although they are saying you would have to eat 500 contaminated horse burgers for you to reach "danger" levels. Would'nt worry about it to be honest, still more chance of being run over by a car

I think the other thing is, that if we buy something we want what it says on the tin, not what the supermarkets can make most money out of, this has been going on for years, and they knew it.
