That was excellent - just need to be sure that the seller being stitched up is a dodgy character though.

I'm not looking forward to selling my old leaf blower now - mind you it is a genuine stihl.

Are you sure?? We can end it for you lmao😜

Its just experience I suppose . Some "sad people " , my self included can tell the sound of a car or motor bike and get it right . To some people its just a noise . I think I can tell a a fake saw at a glance ( hopefully ) . Depends what your perception and eye for detail is .

How can you tell if a chainsaw is fake, not that the listing Is dodgy but the actual chainsaw, what are the tell tell signs. Apart from buying a new Sthil for £50 out of a van!

It's in the detail jack. Some are getting very good but still have small details missing or wrong. Do a search there are some good ones that have been brought up on other threads and if you read through them you will soon see the fakes. Here is a couple.

Totally agree, i would of thought that anyone using saws for a living day in day out wouldnt touch these fakes with a bargepole, its the bloke cutting a bit of fire wood in his back garden who buys them, thinking theyve got a bargain, and they are probably very happy with their buy.
