Hi joe, using 13mm New England hivee. I reckon if you had about 15' of rope below it starts self tending but the 13mm is the biggest it takes so a slightly smaller diameter I think it would be sooner. More than welcome to come and have a go on it joe, I know your on srt but I'am sure you will be impressed

 

Wicked I'm surprised it self tends that well with 13mm I bet its great with velocity. Time to sell my spiderjack:-). Dexta are you about next sat? I could pop over.

I recieved the ZigZag on Friday morning and climbed with it all afternoon. I have never felt anything so smooth. Ascending is much easier than using a normal prusik as the ZZ is s one pull system. The trigger for descending is so light it is unbelievable. One thing I will say is 13mm rope is a bit stiff to thread through. I would definitely recommend this to all climbers!!!
