Do you get overtime or a bonus? Anything like that? Or is the classic line of "swings and roundabouts"? And it's never our turn on the swing.....

 

@ coleman. You know what I mean... Also being freelance you must get a higher rate as you pay your own tax and ni (???).

sometimes i have early finishes....sometimes. My rate of pay is ok but i hate doing my own tax:thumbdown:

End of the day you have a job, if you could leave and get another job would you do it? You could have a word about it but chances are they would get rid of you as "there are loads of climbers out there" what does your contract of employment say?

I do agree.... A job is better than no job.

Its important to make sure the boss isnt taking the piss too much though, which depends on your boss, but its tricky as blokes who are out of work are willing to work for less just to get the job which means companies can quote even lower forcing the next lot who try to get a job to work for lower wages so companies can then quote lower, and thus the arse fell out of the industry - If your boss is a decent bloke who you can be upfront with and wont talk bullpoo to you can probably be a bit more direct, but if he's an arse be abit more subtle.
