Rob I think you need a new challenge!! Get yourself a bedford rascal tipper :)

I wouldn't fit my flask in then though!

I'm still toying with getting that Navara converted. Or build it myself! There's a landy 110 tipper on arbtrader catching my fancy currently!

You know the navara though and its history it dosn't look tired to me just yet :) rip the tub off and get it in the workshop!!

It doesn't owe us anything. The exhaust broke a weld not so long ago (few weeks!) so that rattles a tad. It just doesn't have much power. It seems like a fuelling issue ie not getting enough. Drives alright empty. Drives well with a load on but with a trailer it is dire. Can barely pick itself up in 1st! Especially with weight in. If I had that trailer of logs on the Navara and not my disco it would have taken a while to get home!

Get it looked at it should handle a load+trailer. Old terry taliban pulls like feck with 3.5 m3 and the jensen on the plant trailer. Def going to get a tipper back sorted out with a bigger box on it. I'm sick of digging the bugger out!! I was half thinking about getting a lpg v8 disco just to pull the tipping trailer with chipbox on it but its more and more money. :)

You'd be better getting a tdi. Costs a bit less to run and will still grunt along easily

I'm gonna get a set of new injectors in it. Failing that the only other thing it could be is the crank position sensor which I've read can be quite easily damaged when the engine has been taken out. It throws the ecu into confusion and it can't time anything right.

Have you tried an air mass meter if you have fitted a new one get it checked to see if its working.
