uprating hp, on a transit.

i ran 2x transit tippers 07 and 56 plates and used a plug in chip is a bit un tidy under the bonnet but shift like hell both standard 100bhp 5 speed box there are some cheap ones on the net only paid £195 each with a full load and big chipper or large ifor trailer neither one used to struggle think it puts them upto 145bhp my old shape transit used to move aswell with one plugged in and they are slow as hell normally i might still have a spare one knocking about as i sold the one tipper without it as have just brought a 6.5ton iveco daily.

i drive a 51 plAte, 125bhp (standard) trany mewp. when mine go's in for service i get a 90bhp one.

i can definatly notice the difference!!!

we also have a 12 plate tran tipper. my mewp has loads more guts than that!

 

remaping is the way forward unlesss its an older one than you can wazzz the pump up and crank the turbo!

There are alot of tuners out there we do it too with laptop and the vehicle in front of us takes around 2 hours moslty dependant on the ECU fitted and the time it takes to read the file from the ECU and to upload the modified one !

 

you can average 30 hp increase and 30 - 50 Nm increase over standard power all dependant on the vehicle !
