Yup +2 for sleeping with Brian Cox, But i also sleep with David Attenborough, I find them both very interesting but there is something soothing or lulling about there voices that just lures me to sleep with them. Drives the girlfriend nuts when she finds out iv missed half the programme

Very well spoken man, his how the universe works program was amazing and set out in such an easy learning way even a 10 year old could understand, never fell asleep watching his shows, think your all just showing your ages now and its time to be tucked in by 8:30

Damn i must be blonde, i've only ever watched 3 of his programmes and spent the whole time trying to work out what the heck he was on about in the first 10 minutes, sad times reading your statement Adam :(

I agree...its the pitch and timbre of their voices, twinned with seamless, high definition, highly hypnotic images that send you sweetly off to the land of Nod...great for insomniacs:)

New series same old problem.

Got 20 minutes in and even commented to the wife that we were both awake next thing I know News night is on :laugh1:

I will have to record the series and watch on Sunday morning at full volume then I might learn something other than how to have a nap.

I find these sort of programmes/articles fascinating. Brian Cox (Dr./Prof.), Prof. Iain Stewart, David Attenborough, Ray Mears, Prof. Marcus du Sautoy and a number of others - yes. So knowledgeable and on the whole, able to impart at least some of that knowledge and understanding into the brains of others.

Though 'Prof. Marcus du Sautoy' does go on at a rate of knots, often too fast. But that just makes me want to watch/read on for more info. I particularly like the programmes of Prof. Iain Stewart but I'm really interested in volcanos & tectonics.

But you asked a question didn't you? The answer to which is, no, I don't sleep with Brian Cox.

I find them fascinating too, I can't wait for the day they prove what the universe is, that we are just like insignificant bacteria on a grain of sand, that there is no God and then chuckle to myself thinking of all these suicide bombers that thought they were going to the promised land
