daf 4x4 arb truck conversion

evening all, ive bought myself a new toy in the way of an ex mod daf 4x4 and am wandering which way to set it out..

 

im wanting it to have my chipper attached, tipping body / chip box and also a hiab..

 

having never used a viechle of this size on a day in day out basis i would like to here what your opinions are with the configuration ie, chipper on front , 3 way tipper and grab on the arse end or grab behind the cab ,3 way tip and the chipper on the rear??

Chipper on the front and HIAB on the rear would be best, IMO, but may not be easily done.

Crane on the back, side tip chip box and towed chipper would be my ideal set up with that truck.

i only have a small vermeer 620 which serves my purposes pretty well so even when mounted i was going to leave it powerd by its own engine,

 

one of my problems has been trying to drag it over and through rough areas where wheel ruts have been an issue, not helped by its tiny wheelbase, thought that by mounting it would be nicer to use plus easyer to reverse

Leave it as a trailer machine, you can always pick it up with the crane for transport if needed.

i suppose i could cut it around and fit it on a little sanky trailer to improve its off road ability abit..

Looks a good truck. How are you going to register it and make it road legal? My friend and I looked in to this last year when talking to one of the main dealers who had a yard full of them. They were talking about a couple of grand to make road legal and it would be down to us to do. The load capacity also put us off as by the time you have mounted a crane you would be down to a few ton.

 

Keep us posted with pics though as I do like these trucks and we keep thinking there must be a reason why we need one (other than the fact we like them!!).
