ms201T Performance Question

You do relise that the 201 does need a retune after so many hours from new...

 

I have seen and talked to a lot of climbers who say there's are low powered, but they havnt taken then back to be retuned.

 

I would say a lot of climbers are refurbishing there old 200s. If only to keep them going long enough to wait out for the new husky.

 

Mine didn't.

love my 201..did have to get it re-tuned after about 6 months and it doesn't like Aspen..apart from that, its a great saw

There's loads being sold. Most are commercial who don't see the point in spending out for repairs when they can just buy another. Some are larger companies where the operators don't get the choice of saw.

 

And most sold is because there is no other choice as the new husky isn't out yet....

Exactly . My dealer has sold a few cos there was nothing else . He will get you one but won;'t " stock " them . He has one brand new MS2ooT that he is going to auction when he has the opening of the new part of his shop .

When I first got my 201 back in 2011 I liked it. Fuel economy was better and as long as you kept the revs up it ran well.

Now however, I hate it. It's spent half its life being fixed.

I have always been a husqvarna man but as ways had stihl top handles, blower, trimmers and strimmer.

I have no doubt I will never replace stihl for stihl. It will be for husqvarna or echo.

I have no faith in stihl any more :thumbdown:hedge trimmers break down a lot compared to my echo ones!

I wish I could afford to buy a husqvarna topper and sling the 201 in the bin.
