thats just it rupe i ent gonna do anything i dont need to be doing, only if im asked by said college or whatever. we all have to do enough paperwork as it is it seems.. i was really only wondering if there was anything particular that anyone had come up against from their own experiences when offering WE, im sure it should all be pretty simple really..

I had a guy on work experience recently and some knob from the college phoned me on my mobile on Sunday evening asking of he could come and see me one day with some forms to fill in!!

I told I had no free time but had he heard of e mail. Never heard another thing!!

I would have filled in the forms but I wasn't going out of my way to spend time in "a meeting".

Also, my personal opinion is that the colleges should insure them if they are sending them on work experience. Not my problem if he does something stupid and gets a scratch. The lad they sent was ok though.

But if your gf is asking you to help her brother out, independently of the college, then do it if you want.

Also what is an "ent"?

haha sorry rupe! i must apologise for my terrible use of text talk!

that is though the only thing i was really worried about was the form filling in as it is through the college, but ive called them today and theyve sent out a couple of suprisigly simple forms to fill in by email, he is indeed as you thought covered by their insurance, apparently if he was younger than 16 then id have had to do a crb check but because he's 17 then its all fine so it seems to be a lot simpler than i thought it would be. :)
