Sounds like a powerfull one was that from ebay?

 

I've got a little red one goes on my keyring and has a led light aswell only cost about £2.50 I think from ebay.

 

Dunno if its any good for pointing at trees but I doubt it, will have a go tomorrow if I'm not snowed in

Sounds like theres a bit of variation in quality of pointers. I think i was lucky as the one i got appears to be the same as buxtons and sherrills but only cost a fraction of those.

 

Anyway, took a piccy of the dot of mine at about 25meters away in good daylight. Hopefully you can see the dot on the fence:blushing:

I have got to get one of these!! Went out to look at a job this afternoon, and one tree was a takedown, but three were reductions- would have been soooo useful!!

Great little thing, should have had one years ago. Only downside i found so far is, operating temp is 15-35 deg C. Still works at low temp but not as bright, soon warms up in your hand though.

 

 

Agreed. A tenner on Fleabay: can see the dot up an oak tree that's 30m away through the dining room window in daylight. And if you don't like it.... put it back on ebay!
