Sorry I have a bit of the same problem as need to make the lid on the chip box bigger as was made for the old quickchip which had a hard time getting chip as far as the box never mind over it, we end up with odd big lumps winging over the top and down the road and a pile of dusty stuff at the back.

Kev when your mod has chip flowing down it will it not pull it down with the added weight esp wet greenary?

I've used / demo'd two different Quadchips (both a couple of years old) on three different occasions and I had the same problem each time with the chip not reaching the back of the chip box with any thicker/green stuff (cypress, etc). The back part of the truck filled up when the front was half empty, then it all started pouring out onto the ground. And no, I don't mean a little bit of chip/dust on the floor.

With my Quadchip the chip comes out at a great rate of knots, even the conifer greenery that causes many chippers issues, definately not loading the back first.

Gray Git, There is no real weight of chip in the tube at any time, it just directs the chip into the back of the truck and stops those stray bits going over the top rather than carry it. It seemed to be the top of the tube that had marks on it from the chip flying through so definately no issues with the tube pushing the chute down.
