buying online, vat or no vat?

if a company cant be bothered to show the full price to be paid, I cant be bothered to spend my time trying to work out the price, and would go elsewhere. Vat is not an option on many goods we buy anyway, so the full price inc vat should be displayed, maybe price ex vat shown too, to help the Vat reg business.

with the way the government are changing VAt over the next few years it might be easier to put not inclusive

unless you can have a facility built in to autosum all fields for you !!

as long as it is clearly stated one way or the other

most sites do without vat and is a pain working it out

but from a sellers point of view without vat looks cheaper

mind you it does help if some sites actually put the prices on in the first place.

Now thats a good point, we've had static vat for so many years we take it for granted its always a fixed %. Now the govt is chopping & changing it would be a real problem to keep a large catalogue up to date with the inc vat prices.

not at all. you select a percentage which you can change at will..the software will then auto adjust every item
