Yea ive heard a few people have had a go at the one in barnes.. I think they got in a bit of trouble! Saying that though, to my knowledge its never had any measurements taken. It's certainly the most massive plane tree I've ever seen :) Not sure who you would have to get in touch with to ask permission.. I don't think its part of london wetland centre but its close to there.

Hi Adam

 

Some time back I mentioned a large wellingtonia near to us. You said that it was no record breaker but you would like to see some picture anyway. Measure d from the ground we made just over 40m high. Sorry not the best picture as very late in the day.
