No work related machinery fails (recently). But did this today. A foot either side and I would have managed to get through. I found the softest bit and sank within 3ft. Tractor had to drag me out!

Car was parked, as too close to verge to have been driving. Trailer came off towing vehicle as jockey wheel still up. Coupling on trailer looks undamaged (and is fairly indestructible on iw's) so operator error or catastrophic towball failure, my money's on the previous.

Saab 93 travelling in opposite direction to me ! both around 30mph trailer jumoed the hitch not down to wear mark or ball undersized !

on my side of the road there was some severe frost damage to the road surface the trailer was empty it bounced hard in the potholes and jumped the hitch !

trailer brakes cane on fast but the road surface caused the trailer to skip into the oncoming carraige way !

not a plesant couple of hours with me and the plod etc but end of day no one was hurt just shaken up and metal is replaceable.

Plod intervied me under caution etc and came back and said they had done full investigation and oout it down to freek incident and road surface !

All fixed now and cheap new bearings, blades, belts and welding about £600.
