Im almost exactly the same, just a year older. I don't want to be a skinny ass but neither do I want the saggy man boobs. Started up the gym before christmas and have been going since including boxing day. More so that I can eat almost what I want (within reason) while losing a bit of the flab while Im at it.

I'm 100% with you on the man boobs :lol: Although my problem is way to many carbs . I tend to eat hardly anything through out the day and binge on an evening . Stupid I know but it is now a habit that needs breaking .

well Im with TCD..I am 15st 9lb and have a beer gut,,funny enough I like a beer or two, but would like to get down too 14st as a realistic target, so from 1st jan am cutting the beer totally out,also the crap I eat every time we hit the garage for fuel, and am going to concentrate harder in the yard getting next yrs logs ready, with a couple of trips to the gym a week to start with,,, might get a rower steve so will keep you posted,,

The "beer" gut is apparently a lot to do with too much sugar in our diets; this triggers insulin to be pumped straight into that area or something like that, hence the one-pack instead of washboard.

Maybe some pictures would help this thread.

:lol::lol::lol:

I have a slight confession to make :blushing:. The wife was shopping in one of these shops women frequent, I was a little bored, so I wandered off to play with things on shelves. I found the bathroom scales. Now there are cheap scales, and there are dear scales. I tried the cheap £6.99 scales. The dial flew around to 16.5 stones. And stayed there! I shook them. I pressed them. I stood on them again to try and free them off. I put them back on the shelf and melted into the crowds again. I didn't buy any scales, I don't need to know any more.
