a little harsh . crap bein felling trees for over 40 years. venalbes chantlers whitmores coltmans np timber barchards reliance veerner tc fensome get real

 

youngens today ,they dont know how to round a butt up, them days are gone ,:thumbdown:

Thats made me smile Brownoak, .. i am old school aswell and would be embarrassed to leave a stump like that never mind the monetary value.

I know its easy for photos to be deceptive but "not that high"? if thats a four foot diameter log compare the stump to the butt??

Johnny ... kind of saves rounding em up anyway if you cut above the toes hey?

Some of us on here do make our living felling timber like that and its what we have done for many years and take pride in what we do just i am sure most of all the other members do.

Photos get posted of poor "topping" etc. that attract constructive criticism .. i say that lightly, why then shouldnt photos of poor felling attract the same kind of remarks?

How much value will have been lost by felling high ?

 

I'm sure I've seen brownoaks pics before especially the last one of the fella sitting on the log, they been on here before ?
