4x4 insurance?

Anybody know any good insurance companys for insuring a 4x4?? Im gonna be getting one soon (ish) and id like to get some qoutes but ive never had a 4x4 before so dont know where to start, All the comparison sites dont do 4x4s, is that becuase they are classed as commercial vehicles??

my defender 130 is insured with adrian flux as they were £100 cheaper than NFU, on a commertial policy, as its registered as a commertial not all high street insurers will give me cover

Try http://www.cvd-insurance.co.uk (Commercial Vehicles Direct). They're brokers but something of a speciality one.

I'm paying £290 for a imported mitsubishi import fully comp., AA wanted £2k!!!!!!!!

I had a disco before that, they were by far the cheapest.

Been with the NFU for years...£400ish on L200 and never questioned it.

 

Now had a quote for £250 from one of the comparison sites. Just have to check out cover is the same.
