Need a favour! I got pulled over by the Old Bill last Saturday whilst picking up silky fox on the way to Mendiplogs place for a xmas drink. I went through a no right turn sign at a set of traffic lights..fair play,I done wrong..But this was a genuine mistake. The copper that pulled me was a right....erm...arse.

To cut along story short, the ticket says i failed to comply with a straight ahead arrow at the lights. The thing is (as far as i can remember ) the sign was a no right turn sign. I have spoken to a solicitor and he told me if the paper work is not correct the ticket will be void.

If there is anyone in the Feltham/Heathrow area that could take a few pics of the junction that would be great.

I will of course pay you for your time/effort.

Google street view, don't work!

haha......so if i'm understanding this right you're playing semantics. I mean, if it says no right turn that basically means go straight ahead anyway. You think this will wash in court?

Steve, from what the solicitor told me it does not matter if i committed the offence or not. If the ticket says there was a straight on arrow (which it does) but the sign is a no left turn which i think it was the the ticket will be void.

As for the google street view thing it looks like the signs have been changed at some point. check out these pics. If you notice when the hoardings are around the X2 buildings the signs are straight on arrows but when the hoardings have been removed its a no right turn sign.

no right turn 1.doc

That should read no right turn.

What matters is what the sign was on the day of the ticket. :001_smile:
