Yes if you think of woodmen,bodgers ,besom broom makers, tent peg makers, all working in the woods now most woods do not see anyone from year to year like i have said before i know a wood in essex where the hazel are all 50-60 years old the wood has never been touched.:001_smile:

Really enjoyed watching the way they worked the wood ....and I felt his pain as it hung up...but quality use of expletives and technique seemed to get it down without too much stress :001_cool:

No throw away society back then - things were made to last. Slower pace of life - lovely...

 

One day when the doo doo hits the fan, we'll be going back those old skills...
